July 2012 - Ubomi Beads becomes an officially registered company: Ubomi Beads LLC.
June 2012 - Ubomi Fellows launches.
May 2012 - Princeton’s Sustainable Fashion Initiative features Ubomi Beads alongside FEED, Indego Africa, Gretchen Jones, and beyond at the Sustainable Fashion Showcase during Fashion Week.
Email correspondences from Thambo Village shift to smartphones, where artisans like Mama Noks are investing their incomes. Bricks are bought to expand workspace.
The Princeton team hosts its on-campus chapter launch.
April 2012 - Ubomi Beads receives Honorable Mention in the 2012 E-Club & PSEI TigerLaunch.
- On a Social Entrepreneurship Panel hosted by Career Services, Professor Ed Zschau, and Princeton’s Social Entrepreneurship Initiative, Ubomi’s co-founders speak with students about the challenges and opportunities of cross-cultural and cross-national startups.
March 2012 - The Princeton University Store makes its second purchase of Ubomi Beads. Princeton’s Entrepreneurship “E” Club and Social Entrepreneurship Initiative choose Ubomi as a semi-finalist in its annual TigerLaunch competition.
February 2012 - Just in time for Valentine’s Day, Ubomi Beads launches at the Princeton University Store alongside My Card My Story through the Princeton Social Entrepreneurship Initiative’s “Products with Purpose” campaign, with an exclusive limited edition of painted beads envisioned by 3 Binis. Ubomi has quadrupled its footprint from inception.

January 2012 - In Guaynabo, Puerto Rico, a boutique Escarcha begins to sell Ubomi Beads.
December 2011 – Ubomi necklaces are sold at Columbia University’s annual Holiday Free Trade Market and at Princeton’s EMERGE! A Global Bazaar with the tireless creative mentorship of 3 Binis. Ubomi has doubled its impact since initiation.
November 2011 - Ubomi Beads competes at the annual Princeton Pitch competition’s first social enterprise track, hosted by Princeton’s Entrepreneurship “E” Club and the Princeton Social Entrepreneurship Initiative.
October 2011 - Ubomi Beads’ business plan makes finals at the Harvard Business for Good Competition at the 7th AnnualIntercollegiate Business Convention and is featured at the annual Civic Pride Auction at the University of California, Berkeley.
Summer 2011 - The Ubomi team grows to incorporate students from across the country.
April 2011 - Angela Groves, Amira Polack, and Krystal Valentin meet Mama Noks through a home stay with Mama Noks arranged by their friends at 2Way Travel and are inspired by her spirit, family, and community.
